Effective date: October 11, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fun First Jobs collects through funfirstjobs.com, how we use it and the choices you have. Fun First Jobs is operated by Molded By Grace Business Group LLC d/b/a Fun First Jobs (“Fun First Jobs,” “we” or “us”).
The short version
- You can search jobs, read job listings and employer profiles, and read our Guides without creating an account.
- When you apply for a job, you apply the way the employer chooses. Some jobs send you to the employer’s own website or hiring system; Fun First Jobs doesn’t receive what you send that way. When a job offers Apply on Fun First Jobs, you apply here with a free job-seeker account, and we securely store your application and make it available only to the employer that posted that job, through the members of its hiring team that the employer authorizes.
- Fun First Jobs doesn’t evaluate, score, rank or recommend applicants, and doesn’t decide who is interviewed or hired. The employer that receives your application makes those decisions. We never sell applications, send them to other employers or use them for advertising.
- Employers create accounts to post jobs. We collect what we need to run those accounts, verify organizations and review jobs.
- We use security tools, including a spam check from Cloudflare on our forms, to protect the site and the people who use it.
- We don’t sell personal information. We don’t currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we don’t show ads at this time. We do keep the first-party job statistics described below, as totals only.
- If we contact your organization about posting jobs, we measure which of our outreach emails lead to employer accounts, using codes in our links and a first-party cookie on our employer pages. We never use this for advertising, and job seekers aren’t tracked this way.
- Questions or requests: use our contact form or email admin@funfirstjobs.com.
Information we collect
When you visit the site
- Like most websites, our servers and security software automatically record technical information about each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for (including any search words or filters in the page address), the page that referred you and the time. Our hosting provider and our security software use this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Your searches and filters are part of the page address. We don’t save them to a profile.
- First-party job statistics. So employers can see how their listings are doing, we count, in total, how often each job appears in search results and lists, how often its page is opened, how often its way to apply is selected and, for jobs that offer Apply on Fun First Jobs, how many people started an application. To avoid counting the same visit twice in a day, we keep a scrambled (hashed) value made from your connection’s IP address, the job and the day, and delete it within two days. It isn’t linked to you otherwise, and we don’t build a profile or fingerprint of your device. Employers see totals only, never who viewed a job, selected its apply link or started an application.
- Cookies. We use a small number of cookies the site needs to work: a security cookie that protects our forms (it expires when you close your browser), sign-in cookies for employer and job-seeker accounts and site administrators, cookies our security software uses on the sign-in page and for signed-in users, and any cookies or similar technology Cloudflare’s spam check uses on pages with forms. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. If you open one of our employer pages from a link in a Fun First Jobs outreach email, we also set a first-party outreach cookie, described under “Employer outreach” below.
Employer accounts
- Your name, work email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed (scrambled) form.
- Whether and when you confirmed your email address; which versions of our Terms of Use and Employer Terms you accepted and when; the confirmations you gave when you created your account (that you’re at least 18 and authorized to act for your organization); the confirmation you give each time you submit a job; and whether you chose to receive optional hiring tips and news by email.
- Your signed-in sessions, including the browser and IP address used, so you can see and sign out of other devices.
- Your role in each organization you belong to.
Job-seeker accounts
If you create a job-seeker account, we collect:
- Your name (a legal first name, a preferred name or both; your legal last name is optional until you apply through Fun First Jobs), email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed (scrambled) form. We also record whether and when you confirmed your email address.
- Your age range (Under 14, 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18 or older). We don’t ask for your date of birth to create an account. Accounts are for people 14 and older. We use your age range to show youth-employment information that may apply to you and to know whether a parent or guardian needs to confirm your account. Employers don’t see your age range.
- If you’re 14 to 17: your parent or guardian’s name, email address and relationship to you, and whether and when they confirmed your account. We email your parent or guardian to ask them to confirm. Employers don’t see this information.
- Profile information you choose to add, such as a phone number, your city and state (never a street address), a general education status (never a class schedule, grades or student ID), a short summary, experience (including volunteer, school and community activities), certifications, skills and languages.
- Jobs you save, searches you save and whether you turned on job alerts.
- Which versions of our Terms of Use and of our acknowledgments you accepted and when, and whether you chose to receive optional tips and updates by email.
- Your signed-in sessions, including the browser and IP address used.
Applications you send through Fun First Jobs
- When a job offers Apply on Fun First Jobs and you apply that way, your application contains your legal first and last name (plus a middle name, suffix and preferred name if you add them) and the email address you give for that application; the profile sections that employer’s form asks for, such as phone, city and state, education status, summary, experience, certifications, skills and languages; and your answers to that employer’s questions. Employers choose questions from our question library or write their own. A question an employer writes appears only after our team approves its wording.
- Our standard application doesn’t ask for your date of birth. If a specific application is legally required to collect a date of birth, it may ask for one only after our review, and we’ll tell you before you submit it. Applications never ask for a Social Security number or a government ID number; bank or payment details; a photo or a home street address; a school schedule; or health, disability or other sensitive personal characteristics.
- Applications through Fun First Jobs don’t accept file uploads. Your résumé is the profile information you choose to include.
- Before you send it, you see which job and which employer you’re applying to, and exactly what the employer will receive.
- We keep a copy of the application exactly as sent; the job and the employer it was sent to; when you sent it; the confirmations you gave; and, if you withdraw it, when you withdrew.
- Authorized members of the employer’s hiring team can record a recruiting status for your application and add internal recruiting notes that you don’t see. You see a general status in your dashboard (Submitted, In review, Hired, Not selected or Withdrawn). We don’t email you about status changes.
Organizations and jobs
- Organization details you provide, such as its name, website, public contact information, description, logo and type. Information meant to be public appears on the organization’s profile and its job listings.
- Job details you provide. Published jobs are public, including the way to apply that you choose, such as a link to your own application page.
- Verification and review records, such as verification status and reasons, automated review signals (for example, whether a member’s email domain matches the organization’s website), moderator decisions and internal notes, requests to join or recover access to hiring workspaces (including how each request was decided) and a history of changes. These aren’t public.
Reports
If you report a job or an employer, we collect the reason you choose, any details you write and your email address if you decide to give it. We also keep a hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address to limit abuse and spot duplicate reports. Reports are never published, and we don’t tell the employer who sent them.
Contact form
If you use our contact form, we collect the topic, your message, your email address and your name if you give it. The form sends your message to our email inbox. The website keeps only a record that a message was sent and its topic, plus short-lived hashed values used to limit repeated messages.
We send account notices, such as email confirmations, password resets, application receipts, team invitations, requests for a parent or guardian to confirm an account, and review results, through our email delivery service, SMTP2GO. Account notices aren’t marketing. If you get one you didn’t expect, you can ignore it or report it to us through our contact form. Hiring tips and news are sent only to employers who choose to receive them.
Employer outreach
We may email organizations, and people in hiring roles at them, to tell them about Fun First Jobs. For this outreach, we, or an email service provider that sends it for us, may use business contact information such as a person’s name, job title and work email address and the organization they work for. We get this information from sources such as the organization’s own public website. An outreach email is a business message, not a sign-up: receiving one doesn’t mean you’ve subscribed to any Fun First Jobs list, including the optional hiring tips and news described above.
- Links in our outreach emails carry a campaign code and, for each person we contact, a random reference number. The reference number is a pseudonymous identifier: it contains no name, email address or organization.
- When you open one of our employer pages from such a link, we record that the link was used and which campaign, message and page it was for, remove the codes from the page address, and set a first-party cookie that remembers this for up to 30 days. The cookie holds internal reference numbers only. A short-lived second cookie lets the page send a single signal that it was actually viewed, so we can tell people from automated email-security scanners. We don’t record your IP address or browser details for this.
- If you then create an employer account, we link your account, and any organization you create, to that campaign so we can see which outreach leads to verified employers and published jobs. If you didn’t use a tracked link, we may compare a scrambled (keyed hash) version of the email address you register with hashed versions of the addresses we contacted, on our own servers. We keep hashed versions of outreach email addresses, not the addresses themselves, for this matching and to honor opt-outs.
- We use this information only to measure and improve our employer outreach. We don’t use it for advertising, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we never use information about job seekers or applicants for it. Visitors to other pages of the site aren’t tracked this way.
- You can ask us to stop sending outreach emails at any time, using the opt-out instructions in the email or our contact form. We keep a hashed version of your address on a do-not-contact list so we can honor that request. Opting out of outreach is separate from account notices and from the optional hiring tips and news an employer account holder can choose.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and secure the site.
- To run employer accounts, verify organizations, check jobs before and after they’re published, and keep listings current.
- To publish organization profiles and job listings.
- To run job-seeker accounts, including saved jobs, saved searches, unfinished applications you choose to save, a private list of employer application pages you opened while signed in (only you can see it, and you can remove entries) and, if you turn them on, job alerts.
- To deliver applications you send through Fun First Jobs to the employer you chose, show you their status and send you a receipt.
- To ask a parent or guardian to confirm the account of a job seeker who is 14 to 17.
- To count job statistics in total, as described above.
- To measure which employer outreach campaigns lead to employer accounts, verified organizations and published jobs, as described above.
- To review reports and answer messages.
- To send account notices and, only if you opt in, hiring tips and news.
- To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to enforce our terms and policies.
- To meet legal obligations.
When information is shared
- Applications. When you apply through Fun First Jobs, your application is made available only to the employer that posted that job, through the accounts of members of that employer’s hiring workspace on Fun First Jobs whom the employer authorizes, based on their roles and the jobs assigned to them. We email the employer that a new application arrived, or that an applicant withdrew, without the application details. We never send your application to other employers, and employers can’t search for job seekers or browse profiles.
- Public listings. Organization profiles and published jobs are public by design.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the site process information for us, including information in accounts and applications, only to run, secure and back up the site: our web hosting provider; our email delivery service (SMTP2GO); our spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile); our security software (Wordfence); and our backup storage provider (Backblaze), which receives only backups we have already encrypted. If we send employer outreach, a separate email service provider will send those messages for us.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. On pages with forms, Cloudflare’s spam check runs in your browser. It processes signals such as your IP address, browser details and connection details to tell people from automated bots. Cloudflare says it uses these signals to protect websites and to improve Turnstile, not to identify, profile or target individuals. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Legal and safety reasons. When we believe it’s required by law, or needed to protect the rights, safety or security of the people who use the site, the public or Fun First Jobs.
- Business transfers. If Fun First Jobs is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of its assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and to the privacy commitments in effect at the time.
We don’t sell personal information, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t use information about job seekers or applicants for advertising or for our outreach to employers. We don’t make job-seeker profiles or applications searchable by employers or the public.
When you apply for a job
Each job listing shows how to apply.
For jobs that send you to the employer’s own website or hiring system, Fun First Jobs doesn’t receive what you send. The employer handles that information under its own privacy practices. Before you leave our site, the job page tells you where you’re going.
For jobs that offer Apply on Fun First Jobs:
- Your application goes to one employer: the one that posted the job you applied to. It stays connected to that job and that employer.
- We store it securely, encrypted, and make it available to that employer’s hiring team on Fun First Jobs for this hiring process.
- Within the employer’s hiring workspace on Fun First Jobs, what each member can do depends on the role and job access the employer gives them. Authorized members may review applications, record recruiting statuses, add internal recruiting notes and, if their role allows, download the copies described below. The employer is responsible for managing these permissions and for safeguarding applicant information. Applications are private by default: we don’t display them publicly or make them available to other employers.
- The employer uses it to consider you for that job and to contact you about it. It must handle the application under our Employer Terms and the laws that apply to it, and it may keep its own copy under its own practices.
- The employer can download an application it received, for example as a PDF or a short list for its hiring team, and must handle that copy under our Employer Terms. A withdrawn application can’t be downloaded.
- Once an employer downloads a copy or keeps information in its own systems, Fun First Jobs can’t recall or delete it.
- Fun First Jobs doesn’t evaluate, score, rank, recommend or screen applicants, and doesn’t decide who is interviewed or hired.
- You can withdraw an application from your dashboard. The employer will see that you withdrew. The application isn’t erased; it’s kept for the period described under “How long we keep information.”
Who at Fun First Jobs can see applications
Our team doesn’t review applications as part of any hiring process, and our moderators can’t see them. Only the owner of Fun First Jobs or a specifically authorized administrator may access an application, and only when it’s reasonably necessary to give support the applicant or the employer asked for, keep the site secure or respond to a security incident, meet a legal or regulatory obligation, investigate abuse, or back up, recover or repair the site when that can’t reasonably be done without the record. We record why application records are opened and limit that access to what the task needs.
Young people and children
Fun First Jobs is meant for people looking for first jobs and early-career work, including teenagers, and for employers. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You don’t need to give us any personal information to browse jobs or read our Guides.
- Job-seeker accounts are for people 14 and older. To create an account, we ask for an age range, not a date of birth. If someone tells us they’re under 14 when signing up, we don’t create an account or keep what they entered.
- If you’re 14 to 17, a parent or guardian must confirm your account before you can apply through Fun First Jobs, and can withdraw that confirmation later. This is a Fun First Jobs safety policy.
- We don’t send optional tips-and-updates emails to job seekers under 18.
- If we learn that we’ve collected personal information from a child under 13, including in an account or an application, we’ll stop any further use of that account and won’t use the information for any other purpose. We’ll promptly delete it from Fun First Jobs, including any application we hold. If you believe that has happened, please contact us.
Online tracking and “Do Not Track”
We don’t track visitors across other websites, and we don’t allow advertising networks or other third parties to track visitors’ activity on our site over time or across other sites. Because we don’t do that kind of tracking, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
How long we keep information
- Hashed values used for rate limiting and for counting job statistics are short-lived and are deleted within two days.
- Job statistics are kept as totals per job.
- The hashed IP value kept with a report is deleted after 30 days.
- Our security software keeps records of blocked requests for up to 30 days and keeps only a limited number of the most recent sign-in attempts. Our hosting provider keeps server access logs for a limited time.
- Closed and expired job pages stay visible for up to 90 days with a clear notice that the job is no longer accepting applications, and are then removed from the public site.
- Employer outreach: the outreach cookie lasts up to 30 days and is removed when you create an employer account. Campaign records, reference numbers, hashed addresses and the link between an employer account and the campaign that brought it are kept for a limited time. Do-not-contact (opt-out) records are kept as long as needed to honor them.
- Job-seeker accounts are kept until you delete them. If you ask us to delete your account, we deactivate it right away and permanently delete it 30 days later; you can restore it during those 30 days. An unfinished application you save is deleted after 60 days without changes, or 30 days after the job stops accepting applications through Fun First Jobs, whichever comes first, unless you send it before then. A parent or guardian’s information is deleted with the account.
- Applications sent through Fun First Jobs are kept for two years from the date you submit them. If the law where the employer is located requires a longer period, we keep them for that period (for example, four years for employers located in California). Withdrawing an application, deleting your account, the job closing or the employer’s account closing doesn’t shorten this period. Records under a legal hold are kept until the hold ends. At the end of the period we delete the application’s contents, keeping at most totals or a minimal record that a deletion happened, with no personal information. We don’t keep applications indefinitely. If the employer’s account closes first, its access ends but we keep the records securely for that period.
- When you delete your account, we deactivate it right away and permanently delete your profile, saved jobs, saved searches, job alerts and unfinished applications 30 days later, unless you restore the account before then. Deleting your account doesn’t erase an application you already sent: it stays available to the employer that received it until its retention period ends, no longer connected to an account.
- Employer account, organization and job records are kept while the account is active, and afterward as needed for verification history, safety, disputes and legal obligations. If an employer user deletes their account, we deactivate it right away and delete it 30 days later unless they restore it. If an organization’s last owner closes the organization, its public profile and active jobs come down right away, and after 30 days we delete its profile content and team access, keeping only the records described here. Reports and contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to handle them and for safety records.
- Requests to join a hiring workspace, or to recover access to one, are kept while they’re open and for two years after they’re decided or withdrawn, or longer where applicable recordkeeping rules or an obligation to preserve records, such as a legal hold, require it. Closed team invitations are deleted 90 days after they’re accepted, declined or cancelled, or after they expire.
Your choices and requests
- Employers can update organization and job information from the dashboard, change their password, sign out of other devices and turn optional hiring tips and news emails on or off at any time.
- Job seekers can update their profile, choose what each application includes, withdraw applications, manage job alerts and optional emails, and delete their account from the dashboard (with 30 days to restore it). Employers may be required to keep application records. So deleting your account, or asking us to delete an application, doesn’t always remove a copy an employer already received. We’ll tell you what we can and can’t delete.
- You can opt out of employer outreach emails at any time, as described under “Employer outreach.”
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact form or by emailing admin@funfirstjobs.com. We’ll need to confirm your request first, and we may need to keep some information, for example to prevent fraud, keep the site safe or meet legal obligations. If we decline a request, we’ll tell you why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under state privacy laws.
Security
We use HTTPS; store passwords in hashed form; encrypt applications, employer notes about them and job-seeker profile details on our servers with a key kept separately from the site’s files and database; encrypt our off-site backups; limit who on our team can see account, review and application records; rate-limit our forms; check for automated abuse; and keep a log of important changes. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information.
Links to other sites
Job listings link to employers’ own websites and hiring systems, and our Guides and State Job Resources link to other sources, including government agencies. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Features we may add later
We’ll update this policy before we start any feature that collects new kinds of information, such as uploading résumé files or advertising.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also let account holders know by email.
