Fun First Jobs aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
Our target
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our target for the whole site, including job search, job pages, Resources, job-seeker and employer accounts, applications through Fun First Jobs, and forms.
What we do
- Design with sufficient color contrast, visible keyboard focus, readable text sizes and status messages that never rely on color alone.
- Build forms with visible labels, clear instructions and error messages that assistive technology announces, plus a summary that links to each problem.
- Test with automated tools and by hand: keyboard-only use, screen-reader checks of key pages, screens as narrow as 320 pixels and text enlarged to 200 percent.
- Respect your device’s reduced-motion setting and keep animation to a minimum.
- Check accessibility as part of our editorial review before we publish an article.
Known limitations
- Some parts of the experience come from other services we don’t control, such as the Cloudflare spam check on our forms. If that check stops you from sending a form, email us and we’ll help another way.
- When a job sends you to an employer’s own website or hiring system, that site’s accessibility is up to the employer.
- We’re still testing and improving. Some pages may not fully meet our target yet, and we fix problems as we find them.
Tell us about a problem
If something on Fun First Jobs is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please let us know: contact us about accessibility. If the contact form itself doesn’t work for you, email admin@funfirstjobs.com instead. It helps to include the page address and what happened. We read every message and will do our best to help and to fix the problem.
