Fun First Jobs is built for first-job and early-career hiring: people looking for a first job, a summer or seasonal job, or another role where experience isn’t expected yet. Job postings are free.

Who posts here
Camps, pools and aquatics programs, parks and recreation departments, restaurants, hotels, attractions, retail stores, churches, nonprofits, public agencies, schools and local businesses: any legitimate employer with roles that welcome first-time and early-career workers. Fun First Jobs is built for exactly those roles.
How posting works
- Create an account and confirm your email. An email address at your organization’s website domain usually makes verification quicker.
- Set up your hiring group. Tell us who you’re hiring for (your whole organization, a department, or a team or location) and give its website and public contact information. If your hiring group is already on Fun First Jobs, ask to join it; its owners and administrators decide. Hiring for a different department? Set up its own hiring group.
- Post a job. Describe the duties, schedule, pay, requirements, training and how to apply. You can save a draft and finish it later.
- We check it. Every job must pass our verification and safety checks before publication. Some submissions may require additional review, and we may ask you to change something first.
- Manage it. Your dashboard shows each job’s status, and each job’s Performance page shows impressions, job views, saves and Apply clicks. Mark a job filled and it comes down right away. You choose how long you’re hiring: until an application deadline, open until filled, or year-round. For ongoing openings we ask you to confirm about every 90 days that you’re still hiring, so job seekers don’t see stale jobs.
- Invite your team. Add coworkers as administrators, hiring managers or hiring team members, and choose which jobs each person works on. Everyone signs in with their own account.
Hiring across multiple locations? Contact us and we’ll help you find the best way to get started.
Use the hiring process that works for you
Whether you already have a full hiring system or you’re managing applications yourself, Fun First Jobs can fit the way you hire. You decide what fits each job.
- Already have a hiring system? Keep it. Choose Apply on employer website, and the Apply button on your listing sends candidates straight to your careers page, applicant tracking system or government hiring portal.
- Need an application process? Use ours. With Apply on Fun First Jobs, candidates apply right on the site and applications arrive in your employer dashboard. Review each application and the contact details the applicant included, set recruiting statuses, keep private team notes, download active applications as PDFs and export a focused spreadsheet for each job.
Either way, you contact applicants directly and every hiring decision stays yours.
What makes a strong first-job listing
- A real, current opening at your organization that you’re authorized to post.
- Plain-language duties, the schedule and the work location. Fun First Jobs currently accepts U.S.-based jobs only; remote jobs must be open to applicants located in the United States.
- The pay, when you can share it.
- Only the requirements the job really needs. Give the minimum hiring age for this specific job (job seekers see it as, for example, “Minimum hiring age: 16 & older”), and name any required certification.
- Whether you provide training, and what it covers.
- A working way to apply and, if you have one, an application deadline.
Every job must follow our Job Posting Policy. In short: no applicant fees, no requests for Social Security numbers, bank details or ID documents as part of applying, no check-cashing or reshipping arrangements, and no language that shows a preference based on age, sex, race, religion, disability or another protected characteristic. Describe the job, not the kind of person you want: “no experience required” and “training provided” say what you mean without excluding anyone.
Verification and review
Job postings are free. Employers and jobs must pass Fun First Jobs’ verification and safety checks before appearing on the site. Some submissions require additional review.
We verify organizations, not just accounts. Joining a team is separate: a hiring group’s owners and administrators decide who can see its jobs and applicants. The standard path is a confirmed work email at your organization’s own website domain; we also check that its public information lines up and look for duplicates. When the evidence is strong, your jobs show a “Verified employer” label. You can sign up with a personal email address (such as Gmail or Outlook), but your organization will then need additional review before it can be verified, and we may approve it with Limited status instead. Learn how we verify employers.
Hiring workers under 18? Federal, state and local rules may limit their job duties and work hours. Check the U.S. Department of Labor’s YouthRules information for employers and your state labor office. This is general information, not legal advice.
